"I also see the educational aspects of it too, because my daughter watches it," he added. But he says he prefers it when the children watch "the Steve episodes." Which is smart!

Since leaving the youngsters' series, Donovan has reprised his role as Joe for 3 episodes of Blue's Clues and You. Along with Steve, who seems in the pilot, Joe is helping their cousin Josh maintain the lovable pup.
