TLC's docuseries 'I Am Jazz' is again for Season 7. LGBTQ icon Ts Madison makes an appearance to speak about Jazz's mental well being. So, who is Ts Madison?

Ever since its 2015 debut, TLC's docuseries I Am Jazz has welcomed viewers into the lives of the Florida-based Jennings circle of relatives. More particularly, the display highlights the fine details of Jazz Jennings' lifestyles as a transgender lady. Though the show started when the LGBTQ rights activist was still a young girl, Jazz is 21 in its 7th season. From hormone blockers to romantic endeavors to coping with on-line hate, Jazz has seen all of it, coming out the other side a more potent lady.

Given the intimate nature of the collection, lovers have watched Jazz — who socially transitioned on the age of 6 (Barbara Walters interviewed her on 20/20 in 2007) — again and again meet with doctors and surgeons, embarking on her clinical transition journey. In 2021, Jazz is almost finished together with her transition, as she underwent gender affirmation surgical treatment (occasionally referred to as intercourse reassignment surgical operation, or SRS) in June 2018.
Though now not all trans folks choose to go via SRS (or are in a position to receive it), it used to be one thing Jazz at all times sought after. Sadly, the surgical procedure didn't go super easily, as there have been sudden headaches.
When Ts Madison made a virtual visitor appearance on a Season 7 episode of I Am Jazz, her questions on Jazz's clinical transition were taken personally via Jazz's mother, Jeanette Jennings. Who is Ts Madison, anyway? What does she know concerning the delicate subject? Let's discuss.

Who is Ts Madison?
Transgender trailblazer Ts Madison is an actress, tv persona, LGBTQ rights activist, and self-proclaimed "Internet Queen." After liberating a raunchy-yet-hilarious Vine in 2013, titled "New Weave 22 Inches," Ts rose to web stardom. The Vine video options the celebrity twerking whilst utterly nude.

Since then, Ts Madison has released a memoir, A Light Through the Shade: An Autobiography of a Queen, has been a visitor pass judgement on on RuPaul's Drag Race, and is the big name of WE television's reality display The Ts Madison Experience. With her reality show — which premiered on March 4, 2021 — Ts was the primary Black transgender woman to each celebrity in and govt produce her own reality display.

Ts Madison guest stars in the Season 7 premiere of TLC's 'I Am Jazz.'
“Overnight, my vagina simply, like, changed,” Jazz said regarding her gender affirmation surgical operation. Jazz has had two surgical procedures since 2018 to correct the complications from the preliminary surgery.
And whilst smartypants Jazz was supposed to wait Harvard University in the fall of 2019, hoping to major in philosophy, gender, and faith, she determined to take a damage before heading to college. Her psychological well being was once struggling; she was once clinically depressed and began binge eating. Season 7, Episode 1 is even titled "My 234-Lb Life."

Over a live video chat with Jeanette, Ts Madison — who brazenly has not won SRS — questions if the state of Jazz's psychological health might be able to relate to her medical transition, specifically her surgeries. Jeanette, utterly shocked, clarifies that Jazz has struggled with depression for years previous to her surgeries.
"What about the hormones doing that to the body — what about blocking her from receiving the male hormones? I was really worried when the story about Jazz first came out when she was 6 or 7 years old," Ts says.

"I was like 'Now wait a minute! Are they really trying to change her into a girl this fast?'" Ts continues.
"When Jazz was 11 years old, we allowed her to go on a hormone blocker, which delayed puberty. And basically, it saved her life. You can attack me all you want, but I don't like when people are ignorant," Jeanette tells the I Am Jazz camera team (no longer Ts). Jeanette also explains the ins and outs of Jazz's early life gender dysphoria to Ts Madison, who is pictured in surprise.

In an Instagram submit, 44-year-old Ts explained the reasoning in the back of her blunt questions. "I am a Black trans woman and was raised a bit differently, and so I’m really still learning and un-learning things‼️" she wrote. "When I was young I had never heard of parents 'helping' their child transition, hormone blockers, or even being given hormones at a young age…. So I asked!"
