In the Season 7 finale, Felicity and Oliver went into hiding considering that they are going to be able to continue their happily-ever-after in combination. But, unfortunately, The Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) arrived to wreck the unhealthy news to them. The God-like character printed to Oliver that with the intention to save his pals, he would have to die in the upcoming "crisis."
The episode then flashed ahead to 2040 and audiences meet Felicity and Oliver's two grown-up children.
Mia and William (Ben Lewis) unite, rescue their mother, and successfully damage the futuristic Archer program, a project that Felicity to start with didn't want them inquisitive about because of how bad it was.
After the challenge is over, Felicity comes to a decision it's time to leave her kids to their own. She takes them to Oliver's grave, which says that he died in 2019, confirming fans' suspicions that he did, actually, die.
Felicity bids farewell to her youngsters, telling them that she would not be able to keep in touch with them this time.
After saying her goodbyes, she is going to The Monitor and tells him that she's ready.
“Where I’m taking you, there’s no return,” he warned. But Felicity stated she was once ready to be reunited together with her husband again. Wherever The Monitor took her, it is anywhere Oliver is. And Felicity (unfortunately) exited the show.
Emily Bett Rickards announced her depart from the display in March 2019.
