The Nov. 19 episode of the NBC investigative collection, Dateline, covers Drew Peterson, a former Bolingbrook police sergeant who was convicted of murdering his third wife, Kathleen Savio, in 2012.

A couple of months after Savio and Peterson finalized their divorce in 2003, she was found dead in a bath in her Illinois home. In 2013, Drew Peterson was sentenced to 38 years in prison for the murder of his 2nd wife, Kathleen Savio.

In 1992, Peterson married Kathleen Savio, an accountant, just two months after he finalized his divorce from his 2nd spouse, Vicki Connolly. The couple had two sons together right through their union. They cut up in 2001, when Savio discovered that her police officer husband was having an affair with a village employee.

Where is Drew Peterson now?

Shortly after Peterson began serving out his 38-year sentence in Menard Correctional Center in Chester, Ill. in 2013, he was moved to the Federal Correctional Institution, Terre Haute.
